Hello, and welcome!
I'll start off by being brutally honest and
telling you that this is my first venture into the blogging world, I'm not an English major, or writer in any way shape or form- so there will be errors and for those who are grammar obsessed- I apologize in advance! This
isn't a place I'm starting to make profit, it's a place where I will
share our story, our trials and tribulations with twins who have had
gastro problems since about 1 month old, long story short it turned out
that they could not have any kind of cow based formula and were placed
on Soy at about 4 months old, this was after we tried pretty much every
type of formula from regular- lactose free- to allergenic, the only type
that didn't leave them a screaming mess of diarrhea was Soy, now that they eat "real" food, it's only gotten progressively worse.
This
is a place where I will share my struggles with my life long battle
with weight, and a somewhat debilitating condition known as IBS,
I remember have my first barium x-ray to rule out IBD when I was still
in elementary school. No one has ever been able to give me a straight
answer, and after getting a scope up the bum to rule out IBD in my
twenties, I've basically been lumped as an IBSer and told to drink
Metamucil!
I won't share my husbands problems, but
suffice it to say, he's got his own intestinal issues, and needed a
complete lifestyle overhaul! I think one of his main issues is and has
always been malabsorption.
My two oldest girls, well, I
think they will only benefit from this lifestyle change, my eldest is a
bit of a sugar and carb addict- I think this is due to her being a
strict vegetarian for 5+ years, and relying a lot on carbs to fill her
up! And my middle, she's been a struggle to feed since she started
eating, if she could she'd live off meat and fruit!
